Now, before we get into a little bit more about you and your business and what you do, um, I wanted to start with something that's been in the news recently, and, um, there's been quite a lot of filings, what's called a legal notice, for mass layoffs, unfortunately.
And I'm not trying to say this to be negative, but it's the reality of the situation.
And currently, um, redundancies are 9% ahead of last year, with over 56,000 jobs already being flagged at risk in just the first two months of 2026, and it's projected that this could add up to a total of 327,000 redundancies across the year.
Now, what's interesting behind those stats, um, and I'll put the, the details in the show notes, is that many people being made redundant are actually thinking of starting their own business.
I mean, it probably ties into a bit about me at the same time as well because I think that, that end part of it, of people potentially facing redundancy and thinking of starting their own business, it, it took me three redundancies before I thought, "Do you know what? I'm gonna start my own business." And, and I think th- those stats are scary, like it is...
And I, I've had a couple of friends in the last, um, year or so, uh, and family members that have been made redundant, and it's never pleasant.
But, uh, for myself, it's actually worked out for the better in the long r- run.
But I know if, if you're someone that's going through it right now, that probably doesn't help, but it does tend to shake itself out and work, work out, whether you find another job or whether you do, you know, kind of set up your own business.
And I didn't mean to start in a negative way, but the government actually have been trying to do something about work experience, but the job market is tough, and financial education is part of having a job, which means then having some money, and then knowing what to do with that.
But if you haven't got a job in the first place, then that creates its own financial, um, stresses.
I h- I also was made redundant three times before I set up my own business, so we share that, uh, apart from the fact my redundancy were in the '90s, probably before you were even born.
Um, but anyway, um, so, so tell me a little bit about Jordan, and tell me more about you personally and professionally.
