This week, we're (sky)diving into the tried-too-hard-to-be-a-cult-classic Sam Jackson flick, Snakes on a Plane! Some dweeb witnesses a gangland murder, so to stop him from testifying, a crime lord…
Yes, we are back, and we are here this week to talk about 2006's movie, Snakes on a
Plane.
All right, who's seen it before? Not I.
This is your first times? Yep.
Yeah.
I feel so jealous that you've only watched this once.
Actually, I've watched it twice now because I watched with husband.
I'm only jealous of your husband now.
I would
be jealous of me too.
I saw this in theaters when it came out and hated it.
Cause this is like the height of, of like not the height, but the beginning of people enjoying bad movies, you know, and be like, that was really fun.
And I just remember leaving.
I'm like, but this did it on purpose.
This wasn't someone trying to make a movie and then failing.
This is winking at the camera the whole time.
Well, and I think there was an article I saw right before we jumped on, so I kind of gave it a quick skim, but I didn't have time to read it.
And it was talking about how they made it PG-13, but what we watched was R, so I'm wondering if the theatrical version was PG-13, because it had a bunch of the gore cut out and stuff.
But then you can't say motherfucking twice.
Like Sam Jackson said, like they were shooting around doing like extra gore and stuff because of wanting to try to get a lower rating so they could get a bigger box office.
And like that never works because you cut out the people who want to see it.
Right.
Inviting in people who don't give a shit.
Yeah.
