yeah i mean i think i started off with a pretty typical experience of reading several in middle to high school and i would actually love to go back and reread some of the ones that i read then now that i feel like i just approach reading really differently than i did but as of this year i've read i was actually surprised as i made this list of how many i've actually ended up reading this year but i've read nine
what if if you include lord of the rings and the hobbit
oh
yeah oh yeah which i think you i do yeah it's a classic
yeah so which i was like shocked because i haven't been like consciously choosing that you know i guess um so i've yeah so read those four and then two of the anne of green gables books little women in the middle of jane eyre and then the yellow wallpaper is technically one right
Yeah.
No, it is.
That's on my list, too.
Yes.
So that one's like a little like literally a bite.
I was going to say a snack, but it's literally a bite.
It's less than a snack.
Yeah.
And so I think it was it's been an interesting experience diving into some more classics because I think it's kind of slowed my pace down a little bit as far as how quickly I am consuming books.
Because reading classics is very different than reading... your everyday modern like lit fic romance fantasy uh because there's just so many elements that i think just take a little bit more time for my brain at least to kind of process and i've really enjoyed it uh i think yeah like i said it slowed me down as a reader and i think also made me a little bit more thoughtful of a reader in some ways.
It's also been challenging at times.
I won't lie.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah.
So I guess I'll start off with that.
What is your guys' experience been like?
My experience has been similar as well.
I feel like the biggest thing is that classics kind of force you to slow down and take your time with a book.
Part of it, I think, is the language is just a little bit different than what we're used to.
I also think A lot of the classics just have generally slower paced stories that aren't necessarily page turners.
