On previous episodes, we've talked a lot about self-care and holiday self-care and how important it is to make both a regular part of our lives, right? So today, our intention, my intention for us today is I'm inviting you to plan a self-care day with me.
I'm so excited about this because I truly believe that this is something that we really all need so badly right now.
with all of the calamity and violence confusion hatred fear-mongering deceit overwhelming grief and hopelessness that many of us are experiencing both individually and collectively we need moments of intentional rest we need space to reconnect with ourselves We simply cannot continue operating in a state of stress and expect our minds, bodies and spirits to thrive.
into your experience there's no right or wrong way the important thing is that you meet your needs okay so one thing i know for certain is if you do not take time right now to care for yourself you will more than likely spend much more time and often much more money trying to recover later OK, whether it's physical exhaustion, emotional burnout, mental health challenges, neglect always has a way of catching up with us.
So I encourage you to dedicate at least the amount of time that you would normally spend working in a single day.
You can absolutely divide that time over a weekend or spread it across several days if you need to.
Don't borrow time from your self-care day to answer emails, run errands for everyone else, or to catch up on work.
