Hello, and [clears throat] welcome to the second talk on the topic of kusala, the ancient Buddhist word that can be translated different ways.

But what I like about these multiple choices for how to translate this word is that it's a word that encompasses much of what we are as a human being in terms of how we engage in the world, how we're present for the world, and, um, how we act in the world.

And so any one of these words, uh, certain translation choices limits it somewhat.

In order to get a full sense of how it applies to our fullness of a life, we need all the words.

And, uh, in some way that in our hearts and our minds, we somehow hold them all.
