The Buddha gave five different, [clears throat] um, uh, ways of, of contemplating, considering, uh, what to say or how to, how to speak.

Uh, what really is, um, uh, awaken something very significant inside of us, connects us, ourselves to the Dharma inside of us, the best inside of us, connects us to where freedom is possible.

So it's a wonderful way to, uh, be mindful of speech, is to consider, uh, these five criteria for speaking.

And, um, and, uh, so the five I've put together with an acronym, uh, since it's a way of considering your speech, I'm calling it an audit, speech audit.

And, um, and, uh, and hopefully receive this idea without any kind of idea that it's being tested or being, being, um, being, um, investigated.

It's just a way of, uh, uh, being more of aware of what goes on when you're speaking.

And they are, um, uh, is, uh, what, is what I'm gonna say, is it timely? Is it true? Is it gentle? Is it beneficial to speak? Is, is it useful? And, uh, can we say it with a mind of goodwill? And for this, uh, acronym audit, is it accurate? Is it useful? What's the disposition? Um, what's the impact that, uh, our speech has on ourselves and others? And, um, uh, and is it, uh, timely? So, um, the first one then that I have is, is it accurate? Is it true? That's for today.
