RSVP Culture Changing, “Chalance” Dating Trend, 96-Year-Old Ghost of Happy Hour Future

Well, I found a little something where I thought it was, it was conversation worthy for you and I.

Okay.

So generationally it looks like people are, are having a different take on the whole RSVP thing.

I found this article, okay? It's dated today.

It says, "Her friends RSVP'd yes on Partyful.

Barely anyone showed up." So without getting into the AI overview, the bottom line is it's saying here a yes RSVP used to have an agreed upon meaning, definitely coming.

Now, would you agree with that, Sarah Colonna? Like, I wouldn't RSVP yes to something u- unless I knew 110% that I was going to be there.

Absolutely.

I agree with that.

Right? Okay.

It's saying, though, that young people these days it's not always the case.

It says, "We have to have a conversation about Partyful etiquette." Now, I'm taking it that Partyful's a platform where people invite things and you can RSVP.

Have you not seen that-

So this 33-year-old inf-

Yeah, it's like Invite-

No

...

but Partyful.

Okay.

So, like, okay, Partyful.

So this 33-year-old influencer, Aubrey Strobel, posted in a June Instagram and TikTok video that, and that has since earned a collective 100,000 views, "If you RSVP yes, I'm going, that means you're going.

That doesn't mean you're supporting someone." Now, I never [laughs] I never thought people would think of that like, oh, an RSVP it's almost like I'm just liking this post.

You know what I mean?

Yeah.

But it feels like that's what's going on.
