🎬 This week on *Movie Chats*, Ant & Ry dive into *The Running Man* (2025), Edgar Wright's dystopian action thriller starring Glen Powell, Josh Brolin and Colman Domingo. Does The Running Man succeed…
I'm not going to say it's a reboot of the 1988 Seven
movie
with Arnold Schwarzenegger because it's actually based on a book written by Stephen King.
The story is we are in a dystopian future.
There is this TV show where there is a manhunt going on for 30 days.
And every day that passes by, they are getting money for their family.
But if they make it past the 30 days, they are not being hunted.
They win.
They win a million dollars.
A billion.
A billion.
A billion.
My God, yeah.
A billion new dollars.
I know.
So we are following the story of Ben Richards, who is one of the contestants, and he is doing that because his daughter needs medicine and he doesn't have any money and lives in a slum with his wife.
And everything ensues.
We see him escaping the hunters for the 30 days and how the TV of this world can be very manipulative.
