Today I'm taking you fully BTS in my rebrand process. Here's the thing: I liked my brand. I was proud of it. People complimented it all the time. And at the same time, I felt so stuck around whether…

And so, um, I wanna first dive into some of the things that when I knew that my brand was out of date and when I was considering very, in the first stages considering doing a rebrand, these are some of the things that I noticed that really kept me feeling stuck.

I mean, I have updated my website, updated my brand as my offers changed, as who I've worked with changes, as I've evolved, and as I've been adding more personality and color and fun into my brand.

I've gotten some people telling me, like, "Your brand is why I hired you." Like, it's not like my brand was bad, but I could sense and I could feel that when I looked at it, I knew it wasn't quite what I wanted it to be.

And that's a difficult place to be in because sometimes you're getting positive feedback from people.

I love this." And so you're getting all this positive feedback from people, but then on the inside you're like, "But this doesn't feel like me anymore, and this doesn't feel like the version of my brand that I'm evolving into." And that can cause a lot of delay and a lot of that stuck feeling 'cause you're just sitting here questioning, like, "Do I need to change it? If people like it, are they not gonna like the rebrand? What if I, what if I do a whole rebrand and then people don't like it, and then all these people who like my brand aren't gonna hire me?" Like, it's really easy to get stuck in these spiraly thoughts when you're having people give you compliments on your current brand that you no longer feel aligned with and you know you want to do something new and to move into a different direction.

And so I would say that was probably one of the biggest things that kept me stuck for a while, was being in the middle of that kind of spiraling thought process.

The second thing that kept me stuck was I knew that I needed to make updates to my website, and every time I went to my w- my website, I would kind of have that feeling of like, ugh, this, like, this section is out of date, or this page needs to be adjusted, or I need to add another page for this service that I don't have only, currently have a page for.

Like, every time I would look at my website, all I would think about and see are the things that needed to be updated and changed.

And what that actually meant in real life is that when someone, like, would be interested in working with me, when someone would ask for my website, I would give them the link, but in the inside, I would kind of think, like, "Oh, but this is out of date, and this isn't right, and what if they see this?" And blah, blah, blah.

So, like, there was this energy behind me sharing my website that no one could, no one would've known that I had that energy behind it, but I think people can sense it.

I think a lot of the times when you have that hesitation, that energy of like, "Oh yeah, here's my website," versus when you're like, "Oh my gosh, yes, go to my website.

I talk about this." Like, that's a very different energy than like, "Oh yeah, like, here's my website link." Like- You know, it's all, it's all this subconscious thing, but it can be a felt energy and a felt experience.

And so because I knew that my website wasn't fully up to date with where it needed to be it resulted in when I would have conversations with people, whenever I would talk about my website, you could sense and kind of feel the non-excitement about sharing more about my website or talking about my website.

And then the third thing that kept me stuck was honestly, I was a little just concerned about having to actually decide on what I want my new branding to be.
