If we were sitting down for coffee and I asked you what drives your actions and motivates you inside your business....what would you say (HONESTLY)? If I'm being totally transparent with you...I…

So to give you a little bit of insight into really the last six months of my business, I would say there has been a really kind of a big shift that's been brewing and that I felt coming for quite a while.

I would say I probably felt this starting last October, if I'm being honest with you, so maybe even almost like a year.

You know, as I'm starting to spend less time in California, as I'm traveling more, as my business is just kind of like needs to be a little bit more mobile than maybe it has been in the past, I could feel that there was a big shift happening behind not doing quite as much brand photography and leaning more into the website design and branding aspect of my business.

And starting in May of last year, I really knew, okay, like something has to shift because And if we're being completely honest, I spent actually a good portion of the second half of 2025 traveling for photo shoots.

And so I was traveling for all of these photo shoots and I could just feel it was taking a toll.

Like I think if you had asked me 10 years ago if I wanted to have a business that like allowed me and required me to travel once a month, I would have been like, yeah, that sounds great.

Like I don't really want to necessarily have to have a business that requires me to like pack up and leave.

I'm traveling and I have to pack in my carry-on, my lighting equipment, all of my camera gear, all of my lenses, like everything.

What ends up happening is I have carry-on bags with mostly camera equipment and then a few clothes thrown in, and then I'm traveling.

It's still such a huge part of my business, but I have definitely pulled back quite a bit, starting in the last month, I would say.

I'm actually going to be in the Bay Area at the end of September and doing shoots for clients.

It's not gone from my business, but I realized I needed to shift from the way that my business had been built before.

And I needed to shift into a way that felt more sustainable, that felt more aligned.
