IVY - Gutter

Dunedin, New Zealand has a deep and coveted history of musical prowess.

From the early 80s, where the Dunedin sound erupted from the area, it is a mystical melting pot where there has always been something in the water that leads to creatives writing and producing iconic albums.

Like anywhere, these phenomena come in waves, and I believe that we are currently witnessing one of the greatest groups in the area on their rise to becoming an international household name.

ivy is of course what i'm talking about and it's the amalgamation of jesse hannon james axton conor cooper o'sheen wilson and louis stevenson they create a very dark unique and emotive art rock that flirts with grief and euphoria the haunting vocals and intricate arrangements are second to none and since i first heard them i was truly blown away and to be honest, a little bit jealous of the talent oozing from these young guys.

They released their debut album, Hush, in September of 2025, which blew the world away.

They've also released an incredible follow-up single, Gutter, this August, and this year has been their busiest to date with sellout headline tours, as well as plenty of support shows, including their second upcoming Teen Jesus and the Gene Teases tour of Australia.

My dearest Almost Radio listeners, please welcome Jesse Hanan of Ivy.
