hell yeah now gutter uh it's amazing it's bold there are some super super wicked and distinctive tones particularly uh the lead guitar licks and the verses it's such a gross tone but it's just fits the i don't know the desperation the feeling of the song so perfectly the production's awesome um what does the song mean to you how are you feeling about the reception tell us a little bit about gutter

And it was kind of, not to get too specific, but it was kind of right at this like peak kind of Israeli occupation of Gaza.

And it was kind of like... was thinking about how to be subtle about these kind of things because it's you don't want to be too on the nose and i kind of thought about this wider situation and like the whole its relation to new zealand as well and i was thinking this is not like a song that i want to be i don't want to be subtle about you know what i mean it's uh because it's not a subtle topic um i think that was like the catalyst event but it really is kind of about just the general way that i think the world has kind of been heading and um it's not it's not been a subtle direction either so um lyrically and kind of musically i wanted that that feeling to kind of be encapsulated and you know more more stuff has happened like around the world and like even in new zealand and in your own personal life my personal life that i'm like the song is kind of changed meaning it's, it's more of a kind of a protest anthem than anything specific.

After a year of having it out, how does it feel to have that debut album out there again? And are there any accolades or comments you've heard about it that have really stuck with you and just made you, I don't know, appreciate what you've done?
