Quansah NOT Konsa, Brighton Star Eyed & Osimhen OPEN To Arsenal Move! | Transfer Daily

Uh, Mikel Arteta yesterday speaking at his press conference ahead of the Community Shield, of course.

Arsenal taking on Manchester City tomorrow in the Community Shield in Cardiff.

And, um, being asked about all things in general, being asked about transfers, but what about this one? When are you gonna sign your contract? Mikel Arteta, who's been the manager obviously of Arsenal since 2019, has not yet signed a new contract.

Now you are urging all these players to come and sign for you, and players to renew contracts, and moving on players, et cetera, and you haven't signed a new deal yourself.

He's into the last 12 months of his current deal, which he, uh, renewed in 2024.

However, he said to everybody, "Listen, just relax.

I'm not going nowhere.

I'm very happy, um, at Arsenal." Um, why wouldn't he be? He's just won the league.

And, um, he said, "Listen, the talks are ongoing, but everything's gonna get sorted," and he is gonna stay on as Arsenal manager.

Well, that's a strange one anyway.

He said everybody else's deal's sorted out, or you're trying to sort out deals for everybody else, and you haven't even sorted yours out yet.

But nothing to panic about.

Mikel Arteta will be remaining as Arsenal manager and is gonna be sorting out his contract, um, probably once the season gets underway.
