Wouter Kellerman on Ungana, unity through music and his Grammy winning journey

Congratulations on your new single, Ungada, working with David and Musa Khoza.

For our listeners who might not have heard the song, who are hearing it for the first time today, what does Ongana mean and what inspired this beautiful celebration of connection and rhythm?

You know, Ungana actually means united in Swahili.

And it's got a lot of very traditional Zulu chants, hundreds of years old, that Buso came and joined us with.

But it's basically what inspired us.

We live in such divided times.

And, you know, all over the world.

And we felt it's the time to stand together and be together.

I love the cross culture.
