Can you share a little bit about your journey into obstetric physical therapy and what it means to provide trauma-informed care?

And then in physical therapy, when you were in grad school, we do something that's called clinicals.


And then when I got out, I got more training and started seeing clients that were, had pelvic floor concerns.

And yeah, trauma informed care is absolutely a really large part of what we do as pelvic floor PTs.

Unlike when we're, I mean, there's emotions that go into treating any kind of condition, orthopedic or neurologic, but specifically when a lot of clients that come with pelvic floor concerns have some type of trauma and sometimes it's past experiences, sometimes it's birth trauma, lots of different things.

And so for me, I really focus on making sure to be really descriptive when I'm working with clients that have expressed that they have a history of trauma.
