... a little bit about the way scoring is in 11th edition, because I'm going into te- from 10th with my, this mentality, you know, "I'm gonna hold my expansion.

I'm gonna win the game like that." But it doesn't quite work like that anymore, does it?

The transition between ninth and 10th where we still had these circular objectives and you jump onto your opponents, they lose some points, you don't lose any points yourself, right? Or you don't give away points, right?

And so that, that also was the case, and that's kind of how 10th edition was really defined, right? Like a lot of archetypes were successfully run at tournaments.

Putting units on your expansion, move blocking them off yours, holding yours, attacking theirs, and that was a great singles macro strategy at a high level.

Broadly speaking, that macro strategy doesn't translate to 11th edition because when you throw something away onto your opponent's expansion, you deny them points, sure, but they often gain points by you giving a unit away, right? So there's much less disparity there.

You know, when you're playing 10th edition, you would chuck some, you know, you went second and you denied their expansion once, so you're like, in your head you're already like, "Well, I'm up 10 primary by the end of the game," right? That, you, you cannot forecast that by the end of the game in 11th edition.
