Episode 57: Wild Weeks in Texas! 6 and 0 at the LSO

So what we want to do is start with the event itself, the Lone Star Open.

Big event, lots of people, right? So tell us a bit about the event and your involvement in it and how you came across it.

Are you always there?

yeah so lso probably one of the biggest events in texas texas is really unique i know that you're from new zealand but um texas specifically has a very unique 40k scene we have something called the tcc it's the texas championship circuit i believe and what that is is a whole 40k roster of tournaments um there's about one a month i want to say there's somewhere between 10 to 12 that are in the circuit.

And so every month we have a super major or high GT.

So it gives you a lot of good practice.

FLG joined the TCC for the LSO event.

And so they're like the biggest TCC and Texas event now, because there was 350 plus players last weekend.

So really huge turnout.

I mean, we only did six rounds, so there was five undefeated, me being one of them.

so really fun really good um i've been to lso for the past three maybe four years and so every year it's on my roster every single august we go to lso and it's just a lot of fun i've seen it go from probably like 120 people to obviously 350. so it's really been growing it's really great and honestly by and large it's my favorite event of the year

It sounds amazing.

It's different in every different part of the world how it works, but in the States, people in other countries, it's really hard to understand how enormously large the United States of America is.

You've got that.

There's the Lord Marshall Conference.

You've got the East Coast and the West Coast and the different rivalries and things, but you kind of exist everywhere.

for someone like me, there are more people in the bigger cities in Texas than there are in my entire country.

So, you know, 350 is just, that sounds massive.

And you went 6-0, as you said, you finished in the top few players, and you went 6-0 with, as we said, a list that has been roundly questioned, queried, wondered about, discussed in our Discord over the last few days.

Give us the list.
