People vs. Profits

Okay, so the topic of your post that we're referencing here is employment law and economic flexibility, but I think one of your subtitles later on, profits versus people, is really the subject.

Where do you come down on this line, on this seesaw maybe, or spectrum of profits at one end and taking care of your people at the other end? And the impetus for this post, as you say right at the top, is you were where doing what?

[laughs] I was in Portugal.

I do three or four photo adventures by myself a year.

Or eight.

Or eight, [laughs] depending on the year, depending on the money.

So I was in Aveiro, Portugal, and then later went to Porto.

So I was thinking about employment law in Europe and how, you know, there's parts of the US that are not that far behind Europe.

And I was just thinking about...

This is a tough topic to write about because there's nothing you can say that's gonna make a certain group happy here.

But I guess I just wanted to say, okay, even if you don't agree with my perspective, let's at least shine a spotlight on this because there are some things that are going to impact you quite a bit over time, and that's this whole notion of employment law.
