So, uh, your, your background, you know, uh, growing up there in Maryland, diversified, uh, uh, operation there, you guys were, uh, in the grain business, um, uh, finishing feed yard there uh you know and so really a commercial background to start with yeah really are your roots

really did and and i'm thankful for that you know i i talked about it you know at the end of the show today you know i think sometimes the the cart gets ahead of the horse you know when we get in these kids have so many opportunities you know john sullivan's one of my great friends in the world and i think everything he does you know for all these breeds is absolutely incredible if these kids have opportunities like stock show you you know i just wish sometimes they would have opportunity to ride around with a cattle buyer one day maybe they should sit in on dv auctions and just understand because it's a lot bigger than us you know we're in we're in an incredible time in the cattle business and i think it's going to continue to be incredible and and they have all the all the assets all these things at their disposal i think they should use them just just to be more well-rounded in terms of the entire cattle business because going forward these are our ambassadors not just for the her for breed but for the beef business and and they're gonna come across things that are hard to deal with you know the the general public understands what we do less and less all the time the only thing they truly do understand Beef is awesome.

You know, you go by, I don't care what night of the week you drive by a Texas roadhouse that's full and we got that going for us.

And just the price discovery and just the cattle market has been as close to a free market economy.

I mean, you can go on Wall Street, but you don't see straight lines going straight up.

But I mean, this has been a runaway train in the beef business and nobody I can be happy for.

You know, there's a lot of technology coming on You know, I can't imagine the things coming down the pike that these kids are going to have to deal with coming through making decisions on things like gene splicing, you know, and AI and just all kinds of things that are going to come down the pike.

But, you know, this junior association, there's so many contests, there's so many different factions that they can get involved in.

As I said, talking earlier, from a master's standpoint, they got every club in the bag or they had the opportunity to have that.

The tools available are unlimited to us today and they're going to continue to go at warp speed.

And I think that's having those good roots and those good fundamentals are important to always embrace technology, uh, but stay grounded.

And I thought you guys did an awesome job, uh, in the show today of kind of keeping both in mind and, uh, sure showed up in your, in your top five selection.
