Sam LynchGuestYeah, that definitely shows.
I think, Hayley, you mentioned at some point, you said, if I'm not having fun, I'm throwing the song away.
And I think that truly shows, especially in Angel So Bad, the lead single of the record.
You can tell there's a bit where someone just goes in the background, aye, aye, aye.
And that was, I don't know if that was intentional to put in or leave in.
Is that sort of an example of just like leaving things in as they happened?

Yeah, that was Sam being frustrated by a vocal take in the demo or something like that.

And we just left it in because we're like, you know, you're showing a bit of the process when you leave these sort of ad libs in.

And that kind of felt really important to us to leave just some sort of... crumbs of the whole production you can hear the journey of the song of making it within the final recording so I really like doing that I think too like this project is so like it feels like a conversation also like between us and I think that I don't know about you but I would feel a little bit less comfortable like leaving bits and pieces of things in my own songs because it feels so kind of like isolated whereas it just felt like it it was like the natural thing to do to leave kind of us in these songs because we're talking to each other and it feels just like representative of the feeling that we wanted the project to have.
Yeah, for sure.
Like those ad-libs, I feel like are very just like playful and like everyone throws in their bit and, you know, out comes a product.
There's little jabs that land so perfectly with amazing musical cadence, especially in Angel So Bad.
The best I'm ever gonna give you is a solid maybe.

The best I'm ever gonna give you is a solid maybe You know I'll never settle down and let's just show this baby
like that's such a good even if that was a joke it's such a good lead up to get to the punchline it's just like shrug that's just showbiz that's how it is another great example bitches contain
i was wondering did you record clean versions of the songs no
Yeah, that definitely shows.
