So I'm wondering your thoughts on Where is like the disconnect is between those numbers and the importance again of having a strategic plan before you go out into the content creation world? What do you think of those numbers and how important is it to have a strategic plan, my friend?
37:17
I think it's vital to have a plan and to look at it, like we were mentioning earlier, as a business.
37:26
And I think that doesn't take away from the art.
37:28
And I think sometimes people look at business and art as being like business is not art or something like that.
37:37
And I think that attitude or that perspective can be a huge detriment.
37:41
But the reality, as you say it, That is something that is really disheartening, I guess, to hear because there's a lot of people that work very hard.
37:51
Even who are struggling to make that living off of their work, as you mentioned, and very few get to that point to where they're making six figures and beyond, as you say.

How do you think all of these concepts are interconnected what are your thoughts there my friend
AbrahamHOST
10:46
Now the question is, what problem were you trying to solve that existing platform were not solving?
10:55
Yeah, so I would say the core is the ecosystem element, which is that these different pieces need to work together.
11:06
And the existing products out there maybe fulfill one piece, but eventually you do have to build some type of stack of mixing different technologies.
11:15
And those technologies don't really communicate together.
11:18
When you have to tell your audience, like it's challenging enough to maybe get someone interested in your project.
11:23
Yeah.
11:23
but then you have to communicate to them that they need to be a part of different platforms.

What have you learned about the difference between simply creating something and actually building a sustainable business around it?
SteveHOST
0:30
What can you tell us about it?
0:33
Yeah, I guess I could start sort of at the beginning and where what kind of inspired the creation.
0:38
Both my brother and I are writers, lovers of storytelling, and we've been writing different stories for years.
0:47
And like many writers out there, it's like a lot of private work that you're doing and hope to one day get your work out, share it with the world.
0:55
And, but then when you start thinking about publishing, you would consider, do I go this traditional publishing route or this widely available now self-publishing route? And, you know, the self-publishing route sounds very appetizing because it gives a lot of freedom for you to have control over everything your work you have full control over your you know your story you have control over how it's released so you get that lovely control and this is the same with other independent creators out there whether it's in filmmaking or music or or any other really medium that's out there you can go the traditional route or the self-publishing route and and i think like many out there um you know that sounds very appetizing so you start going that angle and then at some point in time you realize that okay i've got there's other things i need to do i can't just publish this thing can't just build it and they will come uh because i can publish and then it's like a ghost town like nothing will happen so i have to take some other things into consideration.
2:00
And maybe some of us realize this sooner than later, but my brother and I had the realization that, hey, this is a business that you are creating and that your book or comic book or podcast or whatever it is, is the product of your business.
2:16
And so a business needs more than a product to run.
