... you know, everyone goes to that are, are, are really nice.

Um- But we try and go to some different places than, than majority.

Went to the pyramids last year.

Mm.

Um, so yeah, we like to travel.

I mean, there's, there's g- good things in every place you go to.

How spontaneous was that, and how m- how important do you think that truly was, not just for the Gaudreau family, but for people in general, uh, to show what true brotherhood is all about?

Yeah.

That was probably my favorite moment of the whole Olympics.

Um, you know, we saw them in the crowd just kinda randomly.

I didn't know where they were sitting during the game, and bunch of us were waving to them.

We saw the kids over there, and then after talking for a few seconds, it was a no-brainer that we were gonna go grab them, bring them on the ice, uh, his son and daughter, um, Johnny Jr. and Noah.

Um, and yeah, it was awesome.

[laughs]

Like, you ever kind of pinch yourself, especially after this gold medal, like, where you're at? And I know you've putting in- put in so much work to become the player you are, but it has to be crazy to, to see where you're at in life and how things are going.

Yeah, it's been, uh, it's been pretty unbelievable.

I mean, these last two years for me have, have gone extremely well.

Uh, I dealt with some injury history early on.

I feel like I couldn't really get to my full potential until a bit later in my career, and, um, in a sense, it feels like everything's kind of gone right for me.

Uh, the last few years, you know, I've got married, had a great year last year, finished, you know, second in the Norris voting.

I'm having a good season this year.

Was that something you guys talked about, or it's just y- you guys knew going in that's what it was gonna take?
