Yeah.
35:28
Right? And so it's this, uh, I don't know.
35:30
I c- it kinda left me with mixed emotions about that 'cause in one way, you're seeing that he is ready to sort of move on or at least move on in a new version of life with someone new, but at the same time, we see that Annie very much looks similar to his spouse that he lost and engages in these, you know, idiosyncratic behaviors like being able to peel the apple-
40:51
Distract.
40:52
Um, single women are happier being single.
40:54
They're happier with their life.
40:56
They are, um, also more sexually satisfied.
41:00
I think it's just a lot easier for women to get their sexual needs met compared to men.
26:39
But why do you think that is where it is so challenging to find a partner? Is it because, you know, as a single person, you know, maybe they haven't discovered themselves and it's hard to actually come together with someone else? Or like, yeah, what is the biggest challenge we're facing with that?
26:54
I think that the, this, the, the younger generation, the cohort that we're in now, are probably doing more than previous generations to focus on themselves and to figure out who they are and, like, be independent and, like, I think in all of those ways, the, the younger cohorts have been doing that.
27:13
Where I think some of the challenges may arise is, and I hate to just put this on online dating, but I actually think [laughs] this is, like, a big thing, where online dating has just, it's really shifted the landscape of how we date and how we meet people.
27:29
You had mentioned arranged marriages, for example, and historically that was the way to get married.
27:37
And then, and I don't mean that just in some cultures.
27:40
I mean, like, historically in human evolution, the way people pair bonded was due to, like, political reasons or safety and security reasons or, you know, I know this person because they're our family friend's son or daughter.
27:57
That's still prevalent in a lot of societies now.

I would love to know, given this world that we're in right now of how to meet people, what does good partner selection actually look like? And how do you know if people are choosing a partner because of the fear of being single versus like, "Oh no, this is actually a genuine compatibility"?
5:07
What kinds of acts of service could you do instead of a gift?
5:13
Um, you know, I think that, you know, you could make your own card that actually has a more authentic message about what you love about your partner.
5:21
You could, you know, offer a at home, like, foot massage or, you know, something along those lines, a nice cup of tea, a homemade meal.
5:32
There are a lot of different ways that we can show that love and affection.
5:36
I think a lot of the what that looks like might really vary person to person, but I think this is why that, like, when people are older and maybe in really long-term committed relationships, they have more clarity about what their partner would really love.
5:51
And I think people might wanna think about, like, I don't ne- necessarily have to get a big fancy gift, but if I really want to get to know my partner, what are, what might be something that I wanna get for them or do for them that they would really appreciate?
6:13
What made you wanna do that?
6:16
Well, I was really fascinated by this idea that our romantic relationships can be the absolute best thing for us in terms of our feelings for companionship, belonging, intimacy.
