Abdullah NasefHOST
So how does that actually happen? How did you rise to become Tunisia's prime minister?

Youssef ChahedGUEST
So when the Arab Spring started, you know, when, uh, Mohamed Bouazizi, the street vendor, immolated himself in Sidi Bouzid, uh, 200 kilometers from the capital Tunis, and this, you know, uh, sparked a, a movement across the Arab world, it was a big move at that time.

Youssef ChahedGUEST
I was, uh, moved and by, like everyone, like thousands of Tunisian, by this event.

Youssef ChahedGUEST
And I decided to, uh, leave everything and to contribute to the building of this new democracy.

Youssef ChahedGUEST
Of course, I was not expecting that I will becoming the prime minister of, uh, Tunisia.

Youssef ChahedGUEST
And more important, I was not expecting that the journey to democracy will be much more difficult than just removing the dictator Ben Ali.

Abdullah NasefHOST
Was it macro? Was it, were people feeling it in their pockets? Or at that point, uh, what was it looking like? So really tell me what you mean by green light and basically the fruits, uh, that you argued.
