So how did that end up being kind of one of the 10?

I had my list of 10 songs when I went down to Savannah to Dave Cobb's studio.

And I think we ended up recording three of them.

I felt really good about my list, too.

And it let me realize real quick to just trust the process.

Because the first day, I'm sitting on a stool in the middle of this big, beautiful studio.

And it's just me, Aaron, Ray Thier, and Dave Cobb.

Can you kind of talk about having a young gun in the room with you on such an impactful song?

[upbeat music]

[upbeat music]He won't remember that it's raining.

All the million times he's tangled up his line.

That bluegill on his hook will be the memory.

That smile on his face, that'll be mine.

Right now, buddy, I'm gonna soak this in, 'cause I know it won't always be like this.

I'm gonna blink, and he'll be walking out that door.

It's like butter.
