And I wonder how you sort of negotiate and approach those kinds of challenges.

Yeah, it's a good question.

There was some negotiation and there was some outright just political battles.

And I'll give you the history here.

When we started, there was an individual who was showing up to our protests and essentially... trying to, I'd say basically trying to take over the platform and the leadership of this protest movement.

Now, I want to lay out the background here.

It's important to understand the role that the anti-trans movement plays, particularly in the Muslim community politically.

it's been almost three years uh of these street protests for some people it might seem futile to keep showing up for for speeches and marches that you know there may be some people feeling like we we haven't moved things so i'm wondering you know in your mind like why continue why why why is it necessary to keep showing up for these protests

So what are you picturing happening on Friday, which is supposed to be the big signing of the deal come Friday? Okay.

I have no idea.

I cannot predict.

This situation is far too volatile.

What I can tell you is I don't think Israel is going to be signing any deals at all.

It's made that clear.

I mean, Israel is from the very first moment that this MOU was agreed.

How about that? There's definitely

... your role there?

Uh, you know, the police showed up with this really, um, quite, um, awe-inspiring show of force, showing up in riot gear and with civilian munitions.

And eventually the students, seeing that, decided, you know, we don't wanna ...

You know, if they're gonna enforce this, if they're gonna do something to try and force us out or arrest people or whatever, we'll just, we'll back off.

And so eventually the students and their supporters made the decision to pack up the encampment voluntarily.

I mean, voluntarily under the threat of, you know, enforcement action, right? But they decided we're gonna pack it up.

So for about, I'd say almost an hour maybe, the students and their supporters packed up every single tent in the encampment as the police stood there in a line watching.
