yeah you know you take a lot when you when you do these characters and nick you'll understand you're a 13 or 14 year old boy as well so you do pull a lot out of um yourself about how you he was quiet he was a quiet boy he was probably a smart boy but didn't have those opportunities loved his cricket loved his family and when you said you know just coming back to when you said you know on the good night you forgot about the bad nights that was something that happens a lot when, and sorry, just diverting from Robbie a bit, just to talk about that a little bit, that happens a lot in situations in families and it happens a lot in domestic violence families you know situations where the good really overrides you know it can be all this bad and suddenly they do something really good and that's what you get drawn to and that's what you hopefully will remember later on in your life as well so that's what Robbie is a confused young boy gets built you know the oldest boy so he gets most of the the canings let's say from his from his father as well but look He was a confused boy, you know, as we all are at that particular age, and that's why I wanted to set it.

William J. ByrneGUEST
It's funny because I didn't even think it was a coming-of-age story until I had it in a review and see, you know, it was like a coming-of-age story.

William J. ByrneGUEST
Not only is he dealing with his father, he's dealing with this event, but he's dealing with these hormones, these emotions that he meets a young girl, and that as well I wanted to explore that a little bit and the confusion.

And I love that line, and it's probably been recognised in the many times you've spoken about it, but the line, we ate the same... slept this in the same mud killed the same even the same it's it says everything about the life lessons he has been he has learned himself to get to this point even though he's a man on on who doesn't have a lot to him yes he's being very marked by life he's a man who's he's wise in other ways talk to me about moges
