the cynicism, deliberate poverty and dark humour of the scheme heighten the area's Dickensian feel, which I'm not entirely sure I agree that the area has a Dickensian feel, but it's certainly cynicism and dark humour seem to be kind of like in conflict.

There's a sort of aesthetic cynicism in it, in it's sort of like, well, this could be anything, frankly, you know, and it's kind of showing off, as I say, how how skin deep some of these choices are.

But the humor, as you say, is quite significant.

And one of the curious things about kind of getting old or, you know, I suppose just having paid attention for two or three decades is how one changes one's views about things.

now in some ways and it feels like it lives on like that a lot of that stuff is still very present in culture now I feel like but at the same time I feel like people aren't really acknowledging that this is that amazing kind of roots of it you know this and the kind of sort of comic art that came before it are all the kind of roots of this stuff and it's it is incredible isn't it really detailed really consistent and an epic just ridiculously epic
