How important is nightlife to an economy or an identity of a city?

Yeah, well, I mean, you know, Montreal is a big tourist city, but it's not a resort where you lie on the beach.

I mean, we do have apparently... a couple of beaches.

So it's always been nightlife in the sense that nightlife here is a little looser, a little freer, a lot more fun.

So, you know, it's very important.

You know, tourism was up about 10% this summer.

A lot of that has to do with nightlife.
