Uncle Steve, multimillionaire, he was really happy.

Dad, when he worked in London, okay, yes, he was stressed.

Yes, he was frustrated.

Yes, he was working long hours, but he was a lot happier then than he was now where he doesn't leave the house.

So it was obvious money equaled happiness.

So I was that typical kid.

I'm sure most of your clients were no doubt like this at some point.

How have you, where did that come about in your life that you've started to have these bigger visions?

So the backstory, and it kind of links back to what I first started speaking about.

So I grew up with this belief that money called happiness.

Now, how did that happen? My dad worked in London.

He got up at five o'clock in the morning, got home at seven, eight o'clock at night, worked in IT and hated his job.

So he would bring the stress and the frustration back home with him.

Now, I was the eldest of before I was about 10 years old at this point.

So it's, I think there's like something about opening your mind up to things could be different.

So when I was younger, I was really money driven and I was buying stuff.

So I used to... buy something out of the paper.

Or I would actually look in the paper.

At what point did you bring an accountant bookkeeper in? Did you deal with lots of things on your own or did you always see that you needed someone in your corner?

So I had an accountant and I think it's really important, and this is your lady's bread and butter, but it took me some time to realise the distinction between compliance accounting, general everyday what's required and real advisory accounting.

Finance, let's call it, you know, and what that looks like.

And I had the same accountant for probably three years was my accountant when I worked in London.

They just would, at the end of the year, send us your receipts.

Here's your company accounts type thing.

Because I didn't know what I didn't know.

And if they don't, they're going to be going, what are those numbers? I need this person in my world.
