OK, you've got this other horse, Vexie, who is eligible for easier races, but the last two midway runs have been really eye-catching.

Yeah, she's an interesting one.

She's had a long history of injuries, unfortunately.

Nothing too significant, but just things that have kept her from being so lightly raced, as she's now a five-year-old.

But...

The idea is that some of these horses that are quite fragile, you're trying to get that city win for them, particularly as mares, so that's probably why she's in harder races than you'd expect.

She could probably go to a 64 and probably win one quite comfortably.

Well, I certainly thought I, I, I thought I knew more than I did.

When you are the last line of defense and you are the goalkeeper, and it's just you, and you've gotta make the decision, and there's no one to back, to oversee what y- decision you make, there's pressure i- involved in that.

And it's not, like, obvious pressure, like taking a penalty in the World Cup, where it's that one moment where you're like, you feel the pressure.

It's like, it's a gradual persistence that it's like you're always making a decision that'll have, that may have a con- consequence or should have a consequence, either good or bad.

You must feel like it's, you've got access to an encyclopedia of Australian racing knowledge because I imagine that all brothers have their strengths.

the rolling magic was so good first up i know it was a weaker race than this but he had the 60 kilos he got 52 today do you think he could shape up to a race like this

well i i think i think the the first up win was he he always gives me indication like he needs to run and typically makes a fool out of me every time but um i think he's he's pretty ready for today uh we had the option to go to the 78 and just setting him up for his prep a bit later he obviously qualified for the big dance so we i didn't want to go a second race carry lugging a big weight and sort of dour him off too quickly but i mean he loves rose hill he's he loves racing at his home track and um I don't know.

I think I understand that there is probably more classier runners like Attica and the likes in the race.

But he's going to be there a long way.

And with 52 kilos in a race that doesn't have a lot of speed, if he's getting to the lead upon straightening, if not leading upon straightening, then...

I think that's all she wrote is quite a talented filly.

If you look at her trials, it'll read that she finished fifth and fourth in metropolitan trials, but we really wrote her quietly early just to get her to come back underneath Chad.

The race shape, everything looks good for her.

To be honest, I think while this is the nature of racing, the stablemate last race, Last start probably did her a disservice taking her on a bit earlier, and I think it just softened her up a little bit late.

She was third up at 1,800, and while I thought last start was a very winnable target for her, I do think she's prepped to peak today, sticking at 1,800, which I think is about her pet distance.

Her heavy track form, it probably doesn't read as well as it should because...

She was racing over 12.50 at Newcastle, her only start on the heavy, and that was over 12.50, which is clearly short of her best distance.

He's a real fighter and we'll find out, well, another level to his ceiling today if he has one.

You know, funnily enough, it used Well, Richard tells me anyway, there used to be an old picnic broke racetrack and that's where it was.

So it, um, no, it's looking outstanding.

It's taken a while to get to where it is that we, uh, we got, we got a bit fortunate that the ATC were moving their entire track to movable running rail.

And we were able to use the old running rail at Warwick farm to, to put up the, the railing for the track.

So it's, uh, it's looking very good, but just to touch on Ipswich cup last time I was there, It's the only time I have ever seen, not once, but twice, patrons being chased by police on the track.

So for a, for a racehorse, that's a long time considering their, their career only lasts about four, four to five years.

So, um, so he's, he's, he probably just didn't have as much fitness as we first thought.

His action's always sort of been the same.

It's a little bit awkward.

He, he carries himself a lit- little bit awkwardly.

So, um, so like in the trial, people will look at it and go, "Oh, it looks like he's not really stretching out." Um, I'm like, "Yeah, that's sort of him." So it's not really a, a big concern for us at the moment.
