To Ephesians chapter 6.

Verse 12 says this, for do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

And our story today is going to come from Acts chapter 16.

Acts chapter 16, let's start at verse 16.

Read it a little bit, but this will help you get more into your word for your Bible study.

First, Phi Beta Kappa, they cleaned up their act.

Ryomai means to draw or to snatch to oneself, to rescue, to deliver.

One scholar says it highlights the direction.

they passed down with the pot is this, is that they didn't think they would see freedom in their time, so they prayed for the freedom of their children and the next generation.

So one day, freedom comes and this young teenage girl who was, you know, f- who heard those prayer meetings, she decided to keep this pot and that story in our family.

Because she overheard these prayer meetings, she knew that she wasn't the only recipient of these folks' sacrifice.

So she takes this pot and that story and she passed it on to her daughter, Harriet Lockett, who then passed it on to Nora Lockett, who then passed it on to William Ford Sr., who then passed it on w- to William Ford Jr., who then gave it to me, William Ford III.

And so it was in 2001, uh, I was hearing Dutch Sheets teaching about prayer and agreement in prayer, and he gave this scripture that was so powerful in the prayer meeting.

Revelation 5 and 8.

Such an honor to be here today and to talk about what God is doing in our nation.

And so today you're not just going to hear a sermon, you're going to overhear a prayer meeting.

You're going to overhear a prayer meeting.

I have a dream.

They think they'll be heard for all the bata, bata, bata, bata, bata, bata, bata.

That's not even speaking in tongues.

That's just a whole bunch of stuff.

And Jesus says, don't pray like them because they think they'll be heard for their many words.

But the third way is this.

He says, I want you to pray the prayer of sons and daughters.

Pray then like this.

oh, your kingdom come.

I was that kid that grew up in church who tried to earn God's love.

It wasn't until I f- I was probably in my 20s when I realized that I couldn't earn God's love, and, uh, I learned about the grace of God and learned about unconditional love, and it wrecked me in good ways.

I'd become a performer for so long, 'cause I was performing for everybody, that I realized that Jesus loved me based on what He did on the cross, not on my performance.

The artificial me broke off one day.

The Lord was like, in my prayer time, He's like, "You know, you work out a hour a day.

What if you prayed for an hour?" I went to a prayer meeting.

And so I came.
