Was there a certain moment or a time on the trip that you can think
4:25
of? I mean, obviously there's many, just being out there in the presence of the Lord.
4:30
But a big one for me was just the worship.
4:33
Every night, worship on the missions trip.
4:35
It just doesn't get any better than it.
4:39
Nobody's embarrassed to have their hands out or start singing.
4:42
Everybody's there, active.

Was there a particular project that you guys worked on that was like your favorite or that you saw God work in the most or that you enjoyed the most on the trip?
9:18
Representative Davis.
9:20
Well, I, uh, kinda disagree with the senator in that the adeq- adequacy targets are based on student population and what it needs to educate the students in that district.
9:29
So that's a number that we can come up with.
9:32
So not to discount, uh, uh, schools that aren't filled appropriately, as the senator said, but we know what the adequacy target is for Chicago Public Schools, and we can get there.
9:42
And I think if we continue down the road of progressive revenue, like we have done in the past budget year, and put more on the table, that we can get to the amount of resources that's necessary to help all school districts.
9:54
Again, this is not just a Chicago Public School system, uh, problem, it is a statewide problem, to help districts get to their adequacy targets.
10:02
So that said, do you think in a potential fall veto session that you and your colleagues could come up with a plan to bring more school districts to adequacy?
10:12
Oh, absolutely.
10:33
And, you know, to that point, where do you see some of your best opportunities for growth over the next two to three years or so?
10:38
Yeah.
10:39
You know, um, I'm sure, you know, we kinda like the traditional answer.
10:43
There's, there's, you know, growth in, you know, specialty clinics and, and some of the, the, um, outpatient ambulatory.
10:51
You know, there's always those opportunities.
10:53
I think what I would add to much of that discussion for, for us is, again, um, the partnership piece.
11:01
I think, uh, there is a, a, a big opportunity here in, in southern Illinois, definitely when we look from a, a strategic standpoint on of leveraging that.
14:47
Who do you admire as a leader, really from any industry, and why?
13:18
I am also curious, when did you decide to move in this direction? Did something from a performance standpoint make you decide to say, I need to figure this out?
13:28
Yeah, so I was 11 or 12 years old playing in a state cup game.
13:34
And I was really, really nervous before it.
13:36
And I kept thinking to myself, what if this happens? What if I let in this goal? And then we lost that game.
13:44
I remember in the car ride home, I reflected on it.
13:46
And I said, we lost the game.
13:50
And I'm still playing soccer.

How do you know when you've hit the point where you've got to switch gears? I'm really curious what you think about that.
