Were you actually practicing some gay stuff before you came out, or did you wait until you were fully emerged from that closet?

It was like lightly dabbling, I would say, in between my sophomore and junior year of college is where the dabble began when I was back home in Cincinnati.

But I've always known I was like, it wasn't like, oh, I need to kiss a boy to make sure.

It's like, no, I think I was watching gay porn when I was in like the sixth grade, like honey we knew it was just like the locker room sock like it was more me than anything like i actually don't i went to a very very liberal school like it was not something i was too worried about i just like put the worry on myself

yeah yeah yeah okay well then that leads me into a question that you can't answer or we can i can ask you more pointed questions to get us to a fun place but the question i ask is do you have any formative dating or hookup tales that come to mind whether they were super delicious embarrassing formative anything that feels memorable in your mind that you can speak to

Yeah, yes, there are.

The main one, the one that's for some reason conjuring up in my brain is like, I was an intern at the consulting company I worked for after graduating college.

So it was like, I guess, junior into senior year.

So Will had to do it himself.

I was in the middle of a renovation project at home, so I fortunately had some piles of bricks and offcuts of stuff in my back garden, so I just went out there and recorded a load of jiggling of bits and bobs.

[bricks jiggling] So you can hear that I had to jiggle for a really long time because the narrator's chatting away, and so yeah, there was a lot of, a lot of jiggling.

For that, they recorded a real steam train that was built in the late '40s.

It was like this little private railway called the Spa Valley Railway, and we got to go and record there for the day and took a team out and recorded every bit of this amazing steam train that we could, including a whistle.
