Can you tell us a bit more about that?
20:35
Yeah.
20:35
So this is research that is specifically under young people during COVID, and what we find there is that there are differences in the extent to which these children see boredom as part of everyday life.
20:46
And some see it as something that should at all cost be avoided, that they just can't stand, whereas others have a more healthy attitude towards it, s- realizing that this is something that sometimes will happen.
20:56
And what we find is that those children who have a healthy attitude towards boredom and see it as a normal day of everyday life, they're better able at regulating it, whereas for those who struggle more with it report lower wellbeing.
21:09
So seeing boredom as a normal day of life seems to have positive benefits for people, and I think this links al- so quite nicely to the sort of developmental aspect of, of boredom, right? Part of growing up is learning to deal with emotions, including boredom, and learning to deal with that effectively.
21:25
And we know that in adulthood when people are very often bored and very poorly able to deal with that boredom, that is associated with a whole range of mental health and physical negative outcomes.
24:45
Wow.
