um but really wealthy tech tech moguls and that we're the ones who should be leading the country and we can't do it with democracy we have to do it our way

i don't agree with that characterization of the of silicon valley i mean yes there's a few people i'm sure maybe a lot of people but it's also a very different vibe like yes people are driven by money but when you are out and about and you go to mixers people are talking about I have an idea for an AI that will speed up the cancer research process a hundred X.

Is there some elements of money, you know, that yes, I'm sure they want to make money, but also they are driven by how freaking cool would it be if we can cure cancer? And there's a lot of those conversations and we're close to Stanford and Berkeley, two of the best universities and innovative universities in America.

And so it is a lot of optimism and hope, and it is an infectious thing when you go to these mixers and people are talking about how to reduce CO2 in an airplane.

How can we make it lighter, which will make it more effective, cheaper, which has a monetary gain to it, but also because they believe in climate change.

And so I hear what you're saying, and I'm not denying that those stories don't exist, but people are talking on the street of how can we cure cancer and how can we make things cheaper and faster and better um and i think it's a it's a very addictive thing it's a very um it's a cool thing i think you're right there's some politics of elon musk for example i mean i'm not sure if you know why he became radicalized in this way his facility in tesla is a five-minute drive from where i work Um, during COVID he believes that he was treated poorly by a liberal government.

He, he had asked the California government, what do I need to do in order to stay compliant so I can keep the factory going? And so Gavin Newsom and a bunch of people said, you need to do this, this, this, this, and this.
