And why don't you tell us a little bit about some of those programs?

The Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion have a goal to serve our schools, educators, and students to share our personal and collective military service stories.

We do that by way of exciting student scholarship contests.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars, better known as the VFW, has an annual Voice of Democracy speech contest for students in grades nine through 12, and a Patriot's Pen essay contest for students in grades six through eight.

What are the topics this year, the speech programs?
