Mm.
30:22
So, a, a lot of, a lot of your viewers may not know, Alabama's one of the few states where there are no restrictions on what people can give to a campaign.
30:29
Like, we know right now, uh, since, uh, I mean, in this cycle, when I checked at the end of August, and I, I hadn't looked at the September reports yet, I hadn't really had time to quite do that 'cause I've been campaigning pretty hard, [laughs] but, but looking at the end of August, there were 37 separate donations of six figures, $100,000 or more.
30:47
And I don't know about you, man, but I can't just write somebody a check for $100,000.
30:50
If I got $100,000, it's going to something really important, you know, buying a house, a down payment on a house or, you know, things like that.
30:56
But, but people are out here, corporations, individuals, you know, fancy lawyers and big companies and, uh, you know, Alabama Power and Alpha and folks like that, giving people huge donations for their campaigns.
31:08
And you, it does make you wonder when a citizen comes before that individual who's been, uh, been given these large donations as part of their campaign, will that citizen get the same kind of treatment that they should in front of an individual who just took such a huge gift from someone as, uh, to support their campaign? So 14 of those donations have gone to one gubernatorial candidate on the Republican side.
33:58
Uh-huh.
