War

Mm-hmm.

And I enjoyed the first episode of the new HBO legal drama War, starring Dominic West as a, as a tech billionaire who wants to divorce his wife, played by Sienna Miller.

Uh, but I believe Zoe actually mentioned this on the show the other day, so I'm gonna say the other thing I've been enjoying this week is the resurgence, uh, not of Doctor Who, but of Doctor Who gossip.

Oh.

What have you got for me?

Well, I would love to recommend War.

Oh, yeah.

The new divorce drama starring Sienna Miller, which, can I just say, I am shocked that you didn't like.

So for those that don't know what it's about, it's a new Sky series, and as I say, it stars Sienna Miller.

She plays a Hollywood movie star, Violet Duval, who wants to divorce her husband, a social media billionaire, Morgan Henderson, who's played by Dominic West.

And as the divorce gets underway, it sparks a battle between two of London's biggest law firms, Cathcart and Taylor & Byrne, who'll stop at nothing to secure a win for their respective clients, I think hence the title War.

Uh, it's a fun, fast-paced, like, very glossy, super easy watching, a bit trashy, but I think really well-cast thriller.

I couldn't tell you anything.

I mean, I'm not saying that like in a dismissive way.

No, but it's just HBO is such a – I would have thought this was Warner Brothers or Paramount, but HBO is just too big of a brand to like dismiss like –

i think the current value and like like like cachet hbo is now a bigger brand than warner brothers even though like even when we were kids like hbo was a big brand but like warner brothers was like fucking are you crazy it was insane wouldn't you think you should

keep these as like sub studios like it's

I, I too.

I'm watching that, I watched the first episode of that show, War-

Mm

... with Sienna Miller and Dominic West.

But, like, I do wish that it was like...

I, I'm really craving-

That, that's when you, that's when you tune into War

... that's when I have to go, "I need something in with a little more teeth."

So today we are catching up on a couple of things.

We are going to be speaking about the new HBO celebrity divorce saga, War, starring Sienna Miller and Dominic West.

We're going to check back in on Youth, the Sharon Horgan comedy drama for Shifty Somethings that we touched on last time.

And we're also going to speak about Promising Young Woman.

We're going to revisit that film from only six years ago that has depressingly never stopped being relevant but is back in the news.

Let's get into it.

War.

What is it good for? War.

it.

One more thing I want to bring up before we break down this episode is Sona and I will indeed be discussing the show War on HBO Max that we have teased before.

And we're actually going to be two episodes into it this Thursday will be the second episode.

Sona and I will be discussing both of them on Friday.

We did promise this last week, but honestly, my schedule was a little crazy.

And I liked the first episode of War, but there wasn't that much to talk about there yet.

It was I agree.

A lot of table setting.

Okay.

Have you guys watched the show War on HBO? Because it's my favorite show.

There's only one episode, but it's amazing.

I finally watched it, and I'm obsessed.

I'm like two episodes in, so highly recommend.

That one's on Netflix.

War is on HBO.

Let's go back to calls.

Wow.

I started to watch that show War on HBO.

Yeah, what'd you think?

Um, you watching it, Kyle?
