And so what led to Buzz Solutions and, you know, what does Buzz Solutions do for its customers?
1:29
Yeah, so Buzz Solutions was launched in 2017.
1:33
It was launched by me and my co-founder, Caitlin, and we have been in business for the last nine years now.
1:38
The core principle was how can we use cutting-edge technology, whether it's AI and drones and analytics and software, to help an industry that was struggling and still has a lot of challenges.
1:49
So power industry, energy industry was struggling at that time to... makes sense out of a lot of data, inspection data that they're collecting on the infrastructure.
1:59
So the idea was, how can we use the skills that we have garnered over the years? I come from a background in the AI and energy space, been in those spaces for the last 12, 13 plus years.
2:12
Before Buzz, I was leading ML AI teams at Cisco.
7:13
For people who are not aware of it, what's the impact?
8:07
use the current one?
8:08
Now, that's a great question that also keeps me up at night all the time.
8:12
When you see, I'm in San Francisco, so everything is AI, all the billboards are AI, everything's agentic.
8:17
Every bus has ads on agentic workflows and it's kind of surreal to see that.
8:23
But in our industry, one of the key things is our core models are still deterministic, which is we are using our traditional computer vision models.
8:30
to find defects and the main reason for that is there's more guardrails there's more control and then there's explainability behind uh you know what is being detected so one of the key things in utilities are these are mission critical projects there's little room for error if there's error and there's hallucination in the models that means hey, a substation equipment can go down, a transformer can explode that might affect society in a negative way.
8:57
So we really rely still on our deterministic models.
