I became a paramedic in 2021 after 18 years of being an EMT.

I've worked in the South Bronx.

Station 26 was my first original home.

Then I went over to Station 19 on the West Side, then I went over to Station 20 on the north side of the Bronx, and right now, I am assigned to the SOC Division, Special Ops, and I work here at the Rock, and-

They were aware of all the hype around abortion helplines, but skeptical about the approach.

How do you know for sure that those women are not at risk? You gave them information and then what? Did she get the pills or didn't she? Did she end up in the hospital?

They didn't want to be associated with people like her who were breaking the law.

They said that what we were doing of accompanying the women and giving them the pills was risky for us.
