You kind of work together,
20:26
but all of a sudden you're thrown into, I was thrown into this feeling like I've got to do it all.
20:31
And my kids were angry, both of them angry at my ex-husband or their dad and me.
20:39
And, anger was just spilling all over our home.
20:42
And I know there are people and I'm completely jealous of them who say their kids just rallied around them and they knew they were struggling.
20:50
So they were wonderful kids.

But I say at the beginning of that chapter, those stories make me want to flip a table because our family was a mess.
25:18
could you talk this through um the maybe some of the good and maybe some of the the bad that you've learned through as well around uh how people talk about divorce uh and also then i know you have remarried as well and and that conversation um and i know you know that we could probably talk for hours around that and and what it is so you know it's unfair to perhaps just ask for a couple of minutes but can you just talk a little bit about some of your experience

It was recorded at our 2024 Women's Conference.

I was seven years old when I decided that life wasn't fair, that I couldn't trust anyone, and that God was not good.
3:12
You see, when I was seven, a group of boys threw stones at me when they saw me walking alone.
3:19
They laughed as they imitated the way that I walked, and they screamed out, "You're a cripple." Then one of the boys knocked me down, and they ran away.
3:32
I crawled over to a nearby rock, pulled myself up, and walked the short distance home.
3:39
I didn't tell anyone what happened that day.
3:42
I was too embarrassed.
