So how did you come up with the script? Where did the idea come from?

Well, I was looking for a project to do, you know, and for me, the most fun is always the research part.

When you figure out, okay, this is going to be the subject, this is going to be the movie, what sort of rabbit hole do I get to jump into? What excuse do I have to watch a certain genre of movies or read certain books to learn more about it? And I broke down into two ideas.

I was either going to do a horror or a comedy because I wanted something very genre-based.

And ultimately I went with horror because there's the least barrier to entry to sort of reach the audience.

I feel it's one of those genres where you don't necessarily need a star i mean you know you went through the distribution process the first question is who's in it uh and and with a horror it's the only genre i feel where you don't get asked who's in it the question you get asked is sort of what's the subgenre is it a slasher movie is it a zombie movie in my case it's it's uh a doll movie haunted doll movie uh And that's sort of what started guiding me there.

In terms of why I picked the doll, I find them incredibly creepy.
