Ulee's Gold

Early in my career, I, I worked with Victor Nunez, uh, who is a, a brilliant storyteller.

And, um, we did Ulee's Gold in Florida, and that was a very important film, uh, for me in terms of watching, uh, the passion Victor had for telling a story and the importance of, of story with the actors.

So I think I took away a lot from that project.

You know, over the years, uh, small budgets, larger budgets, it, it's still all the same.

So Wewa is like-

Have you ever seen the movie Ulee's Gold?

Gold?I have.

Okay.

He was Carl the Floor Walker.

J.W. Pepper was a great character actor named Clifton James.

He also played in a great baseball movie called Eight Men Out as, as, uh, Charlie Comiskey He also was one of the few people that was not in MI5, or whatever it's called, that was a recurring character on James Bond.

'Cause he was in Live and Let Die as, you know, uh, JW Pepper, but he was also in that one in Thailand.

... real gig.

That was the first pilot, and then, um, Ulee's Gold with Peter Fonda, like, booked at the same time, which was the little-

Oh, yeah

... like indie movie.
