Very true.
37:48
So like, for example, my home, Tr- Trinidad, the high school is the Miners.
37:52
Um, we've known for the roughnecks in the oil and gas field.
37:54
And what they do is, is they're stealing the identity of hardworking, salt-of-the-earth people around the state, whether they're egg producers or whatever else they do.
38:02
And the bad thing about it is, is that then they sit and they say, "Well, you know, in these districts, you guys are on so many services." Well, the reason that the people in my district are on services is because their jobs have been killed by state government and state agency.
38:15
And you take a proud people, and then you take away their ability to make a living, and then you hook them on government money like a drug-
41:42
Yeah.
41:42
And I think people need to take in the Dems a lot of time in this state to be able to gain power and take over and destroy the state.
23:35
But if you think of Colorado's capital as, as a swamp or sort of cesspool maybe of bad ideas and what have you, what comes to mind for you as a legislature working down there at the Capitol?
23:49
I mean, you know, Jimmy, especially being a rural legislator, [chuckles] um, it all comes to mind for me.
23:53
Um, as you said in your intro, Democratic Socialists of America had between eight and 10 in their ranks in the State House as it is, and we saw a massive push in the primaries where they pushed out the Opportunity Caucus.
24:04
So we could have upwards of over 20 DSAers in the State House, and we all know how that shakes out for the rest of the state.
24:11
I mean, government-controlled banking, government-controlled housing, um, you know.
24:15
This audience especially, I don't have to explain socialism to.
24:18
But at the end of the day, if they get the super majority in both chambers That basically, if the governor wants to veto anything, they can override him on everything.
27:31
Paint a picture for a moment of what really is going on in rural communities that are so being hit by the policies that we have seen over the last number of years on the range of issues I mentioned.
