And maybe the legislature does need to re-examine that now as far as private school christian school i realize that that may be a lot more expensive it probably shouldn't be but that may be a lot more expensive and they need that five thousand dollars or whatever it is in order to pay johnny and sally's tuition

yeah and most most uh private schools in the state they're all a little bit above what that Hope Scholarship is, and it's, most of them, and I've heard stories of people raising the tuition to try to meet whatever the Hope Scholarship is, but again, I mean, we've had our kids in private school, you know, on and off.

We went to, our kids went to the Bible Center for a year when we lived in Charleston, and the tuition was more than that, but it wasn't much more than that.

And most of these private schools have, you know, a payment plan or, some sort of threshold they can do for people that are a little bit under their means.

Tom RotenHOST
And a lot of states... several years ago, realized that, and they deconsolidated, and they went back to the smaller schools, but West Virginia still hasn't.

Um, it's part of their platform is, um, you know, they're pro-abortion." And I'm like, "Okay, yeah, I understand that." Uh, and though the Republican Party has made being pro-life part of their platform, they don't really follow through with it.
T

Yeah, and that's the thing is the, the Libertarian Party nationally, I mean, our state, uh, uh, doesn't have a stance on it either, but the s- the stance of the Libertarian Party is basically we let our candidates and our individual members, um, have their own opinion on it.

And, um, we've had several candidates in West Virginia, Austin Lynch being the most notable.

Tom RotenHOST
Um, you know, life begins at conception, and, and if everybody would finally come to the conclusion and agree upon that, uh, I mean, Libertarians would have to say, if they follow their platform consistently, that every human being has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which I think it's, that's somewhere in the Constitution.
