So as you make your way around the state, Ty, and you visit with Mississippians, what are they telling you that their concerns are, and what do they want you to go to Washington to do?
24:31
do?That's an, that's an absolutely [laughs] excellent question.
24:36
Uh, a lot of Mississippians are saying what we expect them to say, is that, uh, it's the economy, it's affordability.
24:42
But I tell people, well, the, the concerns that Mississippians are expressing to me are the same concerns that they express every election cycle.
24:50
They talk about the cost of, uh, living, their gas, their groceries, housing, the cost of educating their children.
24:57
And what I tell people is that you, the interesting thing about that is that the price of housing didn't just rise this year.
25:04
The cost of groceries and gas didn't just explode this summer, and the cost of ki- sending our kids to college, that didn't just go up this semester.

Okay.
16:49
But do you feel like his stink is getting
16:52
on her? Yes.
16:54
And you can't wash it off.
16:55
You cannot wash it off.
16:58
Listen, I got so many stories, Paul.
17:00
Tupelo, just two nights ago, a guy, we're having a town hall meeting in Tupelo, Mississippi.
17:06
He had some beef briskets from this guy that decided to donate some food and everything.

9 MINS LATER

26:11
The data's
9:05
Tell me more about your decision to leave the Democratic Party.
9:09
Well, here's my decision.
9:11
I don't think Democrats are bad.
9:14
I think they mean well.
9:15
But I think in Mississippi, the Democratic Party does not have the foundation, the structure, nor that necessary team to do what Mississippians, especially black people in Mississippi, need to move those same issues forward.
9:32
Think about this.
9:33
Democrats say that they are for poor people.
12:39
But why do black folk in that state in particular still lag far behind all these years later in every single leading economic indicator category, Tyre?
