Did she inspire you to become a scientist?

Yes.

You know, because, um, later on, uh, when I arrived at the University of Cambridge as a PhD student, I did not really know how to, what I'm gonna do a PhD on.

I was really open-minded.

I had to actually go and see what, of all the things that I have studied, what am I interested in? Obviously, it was not gonna be acting, [laughs] so, uh, it was engineer.

So I arrived there.

So my PhD was on fault identification using neural networks.
