should people care? relevance is such an important part of communication it naturally raises another question which is are we using the right channels to be able to communicate the information that we need to communicate because we've got emails we've got internet we've got teams we've got slack videos town halls you name it we've got so many channels in an organization right now but more channels doesn't always mean better communication What are you seeing in terms of the channels that employees actually want organisations to use today?

It's another one of those ones where it's interesting when you ask people what they want, you get one question and then maybe when you scratch the surface, there's another answer.

Normally, 65 70 percent of people going yeah email's my preferred one but there is a certain part of that that means it's quite easy to ignore like I can just kind of leave that there it's not bothering me it doesn't take much effort on my part if I do decide to read it it's a thing that you know I I've got quite a lot of control over that and yes that's convenient but but does it drive the outcomes that an organization is looking for? If you are looking to uplift people's understanding of the strategy, if you're looking for them to feel more engaged, if you want them to have an understanding of the impact that your organization has made, anything where kind of you're trying to connect with somebody in a meaningful way, an email's just not gonna cut it.

All of the measurement kind of tells you, team meetings, town halls, the human-based stuff is the stuff that really makes the difference.
