So now, I would say let's jump to the main conversation, but I would still love if you could tell us a little bit about yourself.
2:05
Yeah, so firstly, the introduction was great, but I've been in business since my early 20s.
2:16
I studied as an engineer, and I worked in the engineering field for a period of time, but I never really settled down.
2:24
I struggled to work for others.
2:26
Wow.
2:29
One day I was riding my bike with a bunch of friends and they all said that they wanted to organize some cycling clothing.
2:36
So I got lumped with the management of organizing the cycling clothing for that team.

How can someone recognise they are heading towards burnout before it becomes a crisis?
4:05
You went to college for engineering, right?
4:09
Yeah.
4:10
I started off as a mechanical engineer and industrial designer.
4:14
So I worked in that space for a few years before I ended up doing my own business, which was in selling lycra so selling cycling bush bike cycling not not motor motorbike clothing so so uh yeah selling selling running and cycling and triathlon clothing was my first business uh after after being an engineer for a little while so yeah had had a lot of fun with that one and i had some pretty high highs like i was turning over seven figures and i was 26 or 25 i think and uh But at 27, I had pretty much lost it all.
4:55
I was at 200 plus grand in debt and lost my marriage and all of those sorts of fun things.
5:03
So I've experienced the highs and lows of business.
5:07
Unfortunately, I was able to get out of that and I actually was able to realize that everything that was happening to me, I was responsible for and I had to take ownership of and that allowed me to let go of my ego and arrogance, thinking the way I've done things in the past is the way that will make things happen in the future.

And then many dealerships also belong to a group like a 20 group they'll call them here and it'll be i don't know if they have 20 groups there they might call them something different um 20 group would be like you know 20 dealers from uh non-competitive geographies further away from your retail location and you all meet you know multiple times a year and share all your numbers and kind of uh use those uh to to make everything better but Do you guys do anything like that in Australia?
